So I was cleaning out my old notebooks and found my Virgo career horoscope notes from August 2015. Figured I’d write down what I actually did with that info, because honestly, it was a weirdly specific month.
Getting Started
First thing I did was print out the horoscope. It had these key dates for career stuff, like August 7th for opportunities and August 23rd for decisions. I remember thinking it was kinda vague, but I was between jobs and willing to try anything.
I started by marking all the dates in my planner. I used a green highlighter for the good days and a red pen for the warning days. My planner looked like a rainbow by the end of it.

The Process
On August 7th, the horoscope said a surprise opportunity would pop up. So I made sure to check my email like crazy that day. And guess what? Around 3 PM, I got an email from a recruiter for a job I’d applied to months ago. It wasn’t a perfect match, but I replied right away instead of overthinking it.
Then came August 12th. The horoscope warned about communication mix-ups. I had a phone interview scheduled that morning. I was so paranoid about it that I wrote down every question I wanted to ask beforehand. The call did get rescheduled last minute, which was annoying, but because I was prepared, it didn’t throw me off.
- I followed up on every application on the “active” days.
- I avoided signing anything on the “risky” dates like the 18th.
- I even scheduled a networking coffee for the 23rd, which the horoscope said was good for connections.
How It Turned Out
By the end of the month, I’d had three interviews and one solid job offer. The coffee meeting on the 23rd didn’t lead to a job, but the guy I met gave me a tip about a company that was hiring quietly. I applied there in September and got the job.
Was it all because of the horoscope? Probably not. But using it as a framework kept me focused when I felt scattered. I stopped procrastinating because I had these random dates to act on. It felt like a game more than anything.
Looking back, it’s funny how something so silly actually got me moving. I wouldn’t plan my whole life around it, but for a chaotic month, it worked.
