- Thursday shocker: Got an email from some department I never work with asking if I’d consult on their project. Zero clue how they even knew my name!
- Friday twist: Overheard managers discussing restructuring rumors. Normally would panic, but remembered the “trust changes” part. Weirdly felt calm.
My Weird Experiment
Decided to test the horoscope’s advice to “speak up about ideas you’ve shelved.” Dug out that passion project proposal gathering dust for months. Slammed it on my boss’s desk Wednesday saying “thought you might find this interesting.” Fully expected the usual “we’ll circle back” nonsense.
Thursday afternoon? Boss walks over actually excited about it. Said upper management’s been looking for exactly this. Like what?! Could’ve knocked me over with a feather.
The Aftermath
Honestly? Still processing. That random department collab starts next week. Boss scheduled a serious talk Monday about my proposal. Whole week felt like dominoes tipping over once I stopped being my usual skeptical Virgo self.
Final thoughts? Normally call horoscopes wishy-washy garbage. But dang if this week didn’t make me wonder if maybe just maybe I should stop ignoring these things…
