Where It All Started
I grabbed every damn horoscope book on my shelf – you know, those chunky paperbacks collecting dust. Then I opened like 15 different astrology sites on my browser. My laptop fan was screaming from all those tabs. Some sites said January was golden for careers, others warned about health disasters. How’s a Virgo supposed to plan their life like that?
My Brutal Comparison Method
I made a giant spreadsheet – yeah, real nerdy style. Wrote each month across the top, then listed every prediction source down the side. Spent three whole nights comparing:
- Marked agreements with green highlighter when 3+ sources said same thing
- Used red pen for total contradictions (happened way too often)
- Added sticky notes when predictions got weirdly specific (“Mercury retrograde will make you burn toast on April 7th!”)
Coffee became my blood type that week.
The Headache Moments
October predictions broke my brain. Half said “romantic fireworks”, other half screamed “toxic relationships ahead”. Called my astrologer buddy and he just laughed: “Dude, everyone copies everyone else’s work online.” That’s when I realized most sites just recycle generic junk instead of doing real planetary math.
How It Turned Out
After two weeks I had this Frankenstein monster of a horoscope:
- Kept predictions that showed up in legit books AND reputable sites
- Ditched anything sounding like horoscope horoscopebs (yes, that’s a word now)
- Added my own notes from past transits – Jupiter stuff usually hits us Virgos hard
Printed it out and taped it to my fridge. Honestly? Some bits nailed it – like when my car died during that “transportation crisis” month. Other parts? Total flops. But hell, at least I knew I wasn’t just reading some algorithm’s random guesswork.
Why’d I even bother? Because back then I was job hunting and desperate for any sign (pun intended). Funny thing? I got hired during a “career chaos” month from my own damn forecast. Goes to show – stars might hint, but we’re the ones steering the ship.
