At the beginning of 2020, I was super into checking out my Virgo horoscope for career. I started by opening those horoscope apps every morning. I’d quickly scroll through the pages to find the part about Virgos and their career prospects.
I took the horoscope’s advice seriously. It said I should be more proactive at work. So, I started raising my hand for more projects. I’d walk right up to my boss and say, “Hey, I can take on this task!” I was like a kid in a candy store, eager to grab every opportunity.
There was a time when the horoscope warned me about potential work – related conflicts. I kept my eyes peeled for any signs of trouble. When a colleague seemed a bit grumpy, I’d be extra nice to them. I’d say things like, “Hey, rough day? Here’s a cup of coffee.” I was on high – alert, trying to avoid any drama.

As the year went on, I noticed that sometimes the horoscope was kind of spot – on. When it said I’d have a breakthrough in my project, I really did manage to come up with a great idea. I remember I was stuck on a problem for days, then one day, out of the blue, the solution popped into my head. It was like the stars were really guiding me.
But there were also times when it seemed way off. It said I’d get a big promotion, but that just didn’t happen. I was a bit disappointed, but I didn’t let it get me down. I kept working hard, just like I always did.
By the end of 2020, I realized that while the horoscope was fun to follow, my career success really came from my own efforts. I had put in the long hours, made the right decisions, and built good relationships at work. The horoscope was just a little extra push, a bit of entertainment along the way.
