Alright so today I was scrolling through some astrology stuff and saw folks arguing about Capricorn and Virgo compatibility. Everybody kept saying “Oh they’re earth signs, it’s perfect!” but nobody showed receipts. Got tired of guessing games, so I decided to test it myself. Here’s exactly what I did.

First thing? Had to find actual couples. Posted in five big astrology groups on social media asking: “If you’re a Capricorn with a Virgo partner, or Virgo with Capricorn partner, tell me how long y’all lasted.” Did the same for Reddit threads. Forgot how messy forums are – spent three whole hours cleaning out bot replies and joke answers (“We lasted til dinner when she burned my toast!”). Ended up with 278 legit replies.
Organizing the Chaos
Dumped everything into a spreadsheet. Made columns for:
- Who’s Capricorn, who’s Virgo

- Still together?

Reality Check
Felt smug until Dana (my Virgo friend) DM’d me. Said her Capricorn ex cheated twice in two years. My stats didn’t capture that mess. Had to add a disclaimer: “Stats show durability, NOT happiness.” Felt kinda dirty not mentioning the silent-treatment wars either.
What Actually Surprised Me
Expected slow-and-steady wins the race vibes. Nope. 46% moved in together under 6 months. Earth signs apparently YOLO when it comes to leases. Also found three couples who divorced but remarried later. Capricorns holding grudges? Nah. Virgos calculating risks? Apparently not.
Bottom line? They stick together like duct tape. Doesn’t mean it’s pretty though. My Excel sheet needs therapy after this.
