Back in April 2015, I was really into checking out my Virgo career horoscope. I started by pulling up a popular astrology website on my laptop. I typed in my birth details and hit enter, waiting with a bit of excitement to see what it had to say about my career.
The horoscope said I should network more and take on new challenges to boost my career success. So, I decided to take action right away. I first made a list of industry events happening in the area. I used my phone to search through event apps and local business listings.
I signed up for a couple of events. When the days came, I dressed up in my best work – clothes and headed out. At the events, I forced myself to walk up to people and start conversations. I asked them about their jobs, what they liked about the industry, and if they had any tips for me. I even exchanged business cards with a bunch of folks.
As for taking on new challenges, I noticed there was a project at work that no one really wanted to touch. It seemed tough and time – consuming, but I decided to volunteer for it. I started by breaking the project into smaller tasks. I made a schedule on my whiteboard at the office to keep myself organized.
Every day, I’d come in early and stay a bit late to work on the project. I asked my colleagues for help when I got stuck, and they were actually pretty cool about sharing their knowledge. After a few weeks of hard work, I finally finished the project. And guess what? My boss was super impressed.
Over time, I saw some real changes in my career. I got more recognition at work, and I even got a small raise. The networking I did also paid off. One of the people I met at an event later referred me to a better – paying job opportunity.
Looking back, following those Virgo career horoscope tips in April 2015 was a great decision. It showed me that sometimes, taking a chance and stepping out of my comfort zone can really pay off in my career.
