My Morning Routine Kickoff
So this morning I brewed my usual black coffee – strong stuff, no sugar – and grabbed my laptop still half-asleep. I always start my day scrolling random stuff online before emails hit. Stumbled upon this astrology site talking about Virgo daily benefits. Thought, “Eh, I’m a textbook Virgo checking lists at 6 AM, why not?”
The Click-Through Experience
First thing popped up was a huge bright button screaming “CHECK YOUR DAY NOW”. Clicked that thing so fast, my coffee almost spilled. The page took forever to load – spinning wheel of doom for like 10 seconds. Annoying but typical. Finally saw that minimalist layout with zodiac signs dancing around. My Virgo brain approved the organization.
Found Virgo symbol wedged between Leo and Libra. Tiny text under it said: “Your logical nature might clash with emotions today.” Snorted at how dead accurate that was after yesterday’s pointless work meeting drama. Scrolled down further and almost missed the key stuff:
- Mercury retrograde warning (of course)
- Reminder to drink water (like my phone doesn’t scream that hourly)
- Weirdly specific tip: “Avoid buying pens before 3 PM” (??? Still confused)
Putting It Into Practice
Took the advice literally around 2 PM when I ran out of ink. Stared at my empty pen, remembered the warning, and shoved it back in the drawer like it burned me. Felt ridiculous pacing my office thirsty but refusing to hit the store. Ended up using a pencil stub I found till 3:01 PM. Perfectly reasonable.
Then the big test came: coworker asked me last-minute to “just tweak” a project I’d finished yesterday. Virgo perfectionism wanted to dive back in immediately. But the horoscope said: “Protect your energy. Say no once.” Practically coughed up my coffee trying to utter “Can it wait till tomorrow?” Shockingly… they said yes. Universe 1, Martyr Complex 0.
The Verdict
Honestly? Some parts felt like common sense wrapped in star dust. Others were just bizarrely specific (pens???). But that whole “no” thing actually worked. Ended my day less exhausted than usual. Still don’t know why Mercury controls office supplies though. Might check again tomorrow. After 3 PM.
