So yesterday I was digging through my old stuff and found my Dreaming Way tarot deck buried under some journals. Been sitting there since last winter. Figured hey, why not do a quick love and future reading for myself? Grabbed some coffee first – can’t focus without caffeine at 9 AM.
Setting up the messy workspace
Cleared my kitchen table but left toast crumbs everywhere. Didn’t bother moving the ketchup bottle either. Spread that purple silk cloth my aunt gave me – got wine stains on it but whatever. Shuffled the cards real slow while thinking about this guy I’ve been texting lately. Dropped three cards on accident. Guess they wanted to come out early huh?
Pulling the actual cards
Didn’t use any fancy spread. Just yanked three cards like picking lottery numbers:
- The Lovers flipped upside down immediately
- Three of Cups slid halfway off the table
- Page of Swords fell face down like it was shy
Honestly? Looked messy as hell. That upside down Lovers card screamed “uh oh” before I even checked the guidebook.
Trying to understand the damn meanings
Checked the little white booklet that came with the deck. Translation’s kinda wonky but here’s what I got:
- Upside down Lovers: Bad communication or forcing things
- Three of Cups: Friends might cause drama
- Page of Swords: Someone’s hiding their true intentions
Instantly thought about that guy who “forgot” our date last week. And my best friend telling me he’s shady. Cards basically slapped me with “girl you already know”.
My personal takeaways
Sat there staring at the ketchup bottle thinking damn, tarot really just calls you out. Felt creepily accurate about mixed signals I’ve been ignoring. Shoved the cards back in the box thinking “nope, not dealing with this today”. But later texted the guy asking straight up about his vibes. Still no reply though. Typical.
Whole thing took maybe 15 minutes but felt longer. Didn’t magically solve anything but slapped some sense into me. Tarot’s like that annoying friend who tells you what you don’t want to hear. Probably gonna do another reading when this mess resolves… or doesn’t.
