What Made Me Try It
I woke up feeling blah about my job lately—just stuck, you know? So I wondered if those daily horoscopes could actually help. Saw one titled like “Virgo Career Today” online and thought, why not? I’m a Virgo, so I grabbed my coffee and sat down to read it.
How I Did It Step by Step
First, I opened this horoscope site on my phone. Scrolled past a bunch of ads—ugh, annoying—and finally found the Virgo career section. It said stuff like:
- “Expect surprises at work”
- “Take a chance on ideas”
- “Luck could be coming”
I didn’t fully buy it, but hey, I felt bored. So I jotted down the points in my notebook. Decided to test it out at my actual job that day.
Started with my work routine: answered emails, blah blah. Then I remembered the “take a chance” part. There was this meeting about a new project, and I usually keep quiet. But I piped up with a wild idea about redesigning our reports. My boss just nodded and said, “Sure, try it.” I almost fell out of my chair—that never happens.
What Happened After
Spent the afternoon messing with the report thing. It was rough at first, like everything broke. But I kept going ’cause the horoscope said “persistence pays off.” By end of day, I had a decent draft. Sent it off and waited. No huge win yet, but I got a “nice work” email from the team lead.
Now, is “good luck” real? Who knows. Maybe it pushed me to act braver. Or maybe I just needed a nudge. Either way, I’m writing this down for my blog ’cause why not share? Helps me think through stuff.
Why do I care so much? ‘Cause last year, I almost quit this gig after a rough patch. Thought about ditching it all. Tried a horoscope as a joke once, and boom—landed this role. Now I track this junk regularly. Sounds silly, but it got me through. So yeah, I’ll keep doing it.
