So today I figured hey why not try making Virgo horoscopes in Hindi? Sounds like a fun little challenge. Started simple – fired up my Chrome browser and just typed “virgo monthly prediction in hindi” right in the search bar. Felt kinda dumb just copying stuff though. Wanted it to feel… mine, y’know?
The Translation Tangle
First thought: translate an English prediction I wrote. Pulled up Google Translate on one tab, opened Notepad on another. Typed out a basic Virgo prediction for the month – stuff like “good luck in career” and “focus on health”. Pasted it into Translate, clicked English to Hindi.
Whoa. What came out looked… real weird. Sentences felt backwards, words were mashed together. Read like a robot had a stroke. Knew zero Hindi speakers would take that seriously.
Plan B kicked in:
- Scrolled through actual Hindi astrology sites (painfully slow with my rusty college Hindi)
- Jotted down common phrases on actual paper – things like “शुभ मुहूर्त” (good timing) and “धन लाभ” (financial gain)
- Mixed those with my own ideas about what Virgos might need this month
Slapping It Together
Opened a new doc and just started writing in Roman script first. Easier to get the flow. Something like:
“Virgo walo, iss mahine thoda sambhal kar chalna. Paiso ko lekar soch samajh kar faisle lena. Khaas kar 15 tarik ke baad…”
Then the real headache began – typing in actual Devanagari script. My keyboard wasn’t set up for it. Fumbled with online Hindi keyboards for like 40 minutes. Kept hitting wrong buttons, letters split into weird symbols. Almost threw my mouse. Finally copied each painstakingly typed Hindi word back into my document.
Hitting Publish (Kinda)
Stared at the finished Hindi prediction. Doubts hit hard. Did “career” actually translate right? Was the grammar totally broken? Said screw it – it’s my experiment anyway. Copied the whole block of Hindi text and plopped it onto my practice blog page. Added a quick note in English: “Tried making Virgo predictions in Hindi. Go easy on me!”
Truth? Feels pretty rough. Hindi astrology sites do this smooth, mine’s clunky. Maybe next time I’ll just stick to English predictions… or bribe a Hindi-speaking friend with coffee.
