Astrocenter Virgo weekly guide: Find your best career paths inside!

Alright so last Monday morning I’m scrolling through emails while chugging coffee, right? Saw that Astrocenter Virgo weekly career thing. Normally I’d delete that cosmic fluff instantly, but hey, Virgo season just started – figured why not try it for content. Grabbed my notebook and a red pen. Let’s do this.

The Prep Work

First step: Printed the whole guide. Seven freakin’ pages. Sat at my cluttered kitchen table, coffee #2 brewing. Skimmed it like a suspicious contract. Lots of “Mercury’s position” and “harness earthy energy” blah blah. Highlighted the practical bits in red – action items for each day.

  • Monday: “Review past projects for hidden skills.”
  • Tuesday: “Initiate one uncomfortable conversation.”
  • Wednesday: “Declutter physical workspace = declutter mind.” (Ugh, fine.)
  • Thursday: “Analyze feedback without defensiveness.”
  • Friday: “Present an idea you’ve held back.”

Actually Doing the Damn Thing

Monday: Dug out my old freelance folders from 2020. Found three graphic design gigs I totally forgot about – and clients loved them! Noticed a pattern: I’m weirdly good at translating tech jargon into normal words. Wrote that down as a “hidden skill.” Felt kinda silly writing “Virgo Magic Skill #1” but whatever.

Tuesday: HATED THIS. Emailed my part-time editor about raising rates. Sweaty palms hitting “send.” Used the guide’s script: “Given my consistent performance and expanding skillset [listed those design gigs!], let’s discuss adjusting my compensation.” He actually agreed to talk Friday. Planet stuff working? Maybe.

Wednesday: Cleared the Everest of crumpled receipts and dead pens off my desk. Found a lost USB drive with half a novel draft. More importantly, space felt lighter. Brain did too. Annoyingly accurate advice.

Thursday: Client ripped apart my article structure. Took a deep breath, reread their notes slowly without my usual “but I meant…” mental chatter. Saw their point. Rewrote the intro cold. Sent back. They called it “perfect.” Weird.

Friday: Nervous. Team meeting. Boss asks for new content ideas. Throat tight. Remembered the guide’s push. Blurted out: “What about a series simplifying complex industry reports? Like explainers?” Dead air. Then boss goes, “Actually… yeah. Draft that.” My Virgo butt sat down stunned.

What Actually Happened

Biggest win? That Friday moment. Never would’ve pitched it without the daily nudge. That hidden skill from Monday? Became my pitch foundation. The uncomfortable Tuesday talk? Set up a potential raise. The stupid desk cleaning? Probably stopped me from throwing my keyboard Wednesday.

Feeling now? Less “wow astrology rules!” and more “damn, structured self-reflection works.” The guide basically forced me to do small, scary career things I avoided. Virgo energy isn’t magic – it’s just paying obsessive attention to your own crap and fixing it piece by piece. Would I do it again? Yeah, actually. Next week? Nah. My kitchen table needs therapy after this experiment.
