My Monday Kickoff
Woke up early Monday morning scrolling through phone like always. Saw this Estelle horoscope post shouting about “unlocking fortune” for Virgos August 6-10. Skeptical me thought whatever, but the part about “financial opportunities” caught my eye cause my wallet’s been screaming lately. Decided to play along when they suggested wearing silver jewelry – dug out that tarnished silver chain buried in my sock drawer.
The Actual Practice
First step was cleaning my workspace Tuesday like the horoscope said. Swept coffee stains off desk, shredded old bills, even wiped dust bunnies under monitor. Felt kinda stupid but whatever. Next day they mentioned “networking opportunities” so I forced myself to chat with Karen from accounting at coffee machine instead of rushing back to my cubicle. Actually learned about this freelance gig she does nights – never knew!
By Thursday the horoscope pushed “assertive communication”. Practiced in dumbest way: When pizza guy shortchanged me 2 bucks, I actually spoke up instead of my usual “whatever it’s just 2 dollars”. Felt like superhero lol. Also rearranged my living room plants cause the post said “redirect energy flow” – no clue if they meant that literally but my fiddle leaf fig looks happier.
Surprise Ending
Friday morning got wild. Remember Karen from accounting? She tagged me in this remote job post that fits my skills perfect. Applied immediately wearing that stupid silver chain for luck. Got callback BEFORE LUNCH. Interview’s next week – not guaranteed but way more than I expected from horoscope voodoo. Oh and found $20 bill while vacuuming after “energy flow” plant thing. Score! Might actually check Virgo horoscopes again next Monday…
