I’ve always been a bit of a curious cat, so when I heard about the significator card in tarot and its supposed ability to predict the future, I just had to give it a go.
First off, I headed to my local bookstore and picked up a basic tarot deck. I mean, you can’t do a tarot reading without the cards, right? Then, I sat down at my kitchen table, cleared away all the clutter, and lit a couple of candles. I wanted to set the mood, you know?
I started by shuffling the cards. I was like a little kid with a new toy, just mixing those cards up all over the place. It felt kind of silly at first, but I got into it. After a good shuffle, I closed my eyes and thought about what I wanted to know from the reading. I was mainly curious about my career, like if there were any big changes coming up.
Next, I had to find the significator card. I did some research online and found out that the significator is usually chosen based on your personality, appearance, or current situation. I picked a card that I thought represented me at that moment. It was the Page of Cups. I don’t know why, it just felt right.
Once I had my significator, I laid it in the center of the table. Then, I started to draw other cards around it. I did a simple three – card spread. One for the past, one for the present, and one for the future. As I turned over each card, I was getting more and more excited.
The first card, for the past, was the Seven of Swords. It made me think about some sneaky things that had happened at work recently. Maybe there were some people trying to take credit for my ideas. The second card, for the present, was the Ten of Pentacles. That seemed to suggest that I was in a stable financial situation at work, which was true.
Finally, the future card was the Knight of Wands. It looked like there was going to be some kind of adventure or new opportunity coming my way in my career. I was stoked!
After the reading, I did some more research on what each card meant. I found that different websites and experts had slightly different interpretations. But overall, it was really interesting to see how the cards seemed to fit my situation.
Now, I know some people might think tarot is just a bunch of hocus – pocus. But for me, it was a fun and eye – opening experience. It made me think about my life and what might be ahead. And who knows, maybe that Knight of Wands will show up in my career sooner or later!
