Well, I’ve always been curious about whether tarot can predict the future. Y’know, it’s one of those things that sounds so mysterious, right? So, I decided to give it a shot myself.
First off, I went out and bought a tarot deck. It was a pretty basic one, nothing too fancy. I just picked it up at a local new – age store. Then, I got home and started looking at the cards. They were all so colorful and had these weird pictures on them. I didn’t really know what they meant at first.
I started by shuffling the cards. Man, that was harder than I thought. The cards were kinda slippery, and I kept dropping them. But after a few tries, I got the hang of it. Then, I decided to do a simple three – card spread, which I heard was a good way to start.
I laid the cards out on my table. The first card was a guy on a horse, the second one had a tower on fire, and the third one was a woman holding a cup. I was like, “What the heck do these mean?” So, I grabbed the little booklet that came with the deck and started looking them up.
The booklet said the guy on the horse was about new beginnings, the tower on fire was about sudden change, and the woman with the cup was about emotions and relationships. I was like, “Okay, that sounds cool, but how does this predict the future?”
I started thinking about my life. I had been thinking about starting a new project at work, so the new beginnings card made sense. And I had just had a big fight with my roommate, so the sudden change and emotions cards also seemed to fit.
Over the next few weeks, I kept doing these little tarot readings for myself. Sometimes, the cards seemed to match what was going on in my life, and other times, they were just way off. I even asked a few of my friends to try it out. One of my friends did a reading and got a card about travel. And guess what? A few days later, he got an invitation to a wedding in another city.
But here’s the thing. I’m still not sure if tarot can really predict the future. It might just be that we see what we want to see in the cards. Or maybe there’s some kind of weird energy or something that makes the cards connect to our lives. I don’t know. All I know is that it’s been a fun experiment, and it’s made me think a lot about how we try to make sense of the future.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with tarot. It’s been a wild ride, and I’ll probably keep doing it just for the fun of it. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll get a card that tells me I’m gonna win the lottery!
