Back in 2015, I was a Virgo dealing with all sorts of work challenges. I was like a little boat in a stormy sea, trying not to capsize.
At first, I was super stressed. There were so many projects piled up on my desk, and deadlines were breathing down my neck. I started by making a to – do list. I took a pen and paper and wrote down every single task I had to do. It was like taking a big messy ball of yarn and starting to untangle it.
Then, I prioritized those tasks. I marked the most urgent and important ones with a star. I knew I had to tackle those first. For example, there was a project that could bring in a big client. I focused all my energy on that one. I sat at my desk, opened my laptop, and started researching and writing proposals. I spent hours and hours on it, sometimes forgetting to even take a break.
But work challenges weren’t just about the tasks themselves. There were also problems with my colleagues. One of my co – workers was always late with his part of the project, which made my job harder. I decided to have a chat with him. I walked over to his desk, took a deep breath, and said, “Hey, man, this project is really important, and your part is holding us back. Can you try to be more punctual?” It was a bit awkward at first, but he understood, and things got better after that.
Another thing I did was to learn new skills. I realized that to handle the work challenges, I needed to up my game. So, I signed up for an online course during my free time. I watched those video lessons late at night after work. It was tiring, but I knew it was worth it. I started applying what I learned at work, and it made my work much more efficient.
As time went on, I noticed that I was getting better at dealing with these work challenges. I was more organized, I could communicate better with my colleagues, and I had new skills in my toolbox. By the end of 2015, I had not only survived the work challenges but also grown a lot as a professional. It was like climbing a mountain. At first, it was tough and I wanted to give up, but in the end, I reached the top and saw a whole new view.
