My Stupid Journey Finding Old Virgo Predictions
Got curious late one night about what Virgo horoscopes said back in 2017. Felt like digging up some old stuff, you know? Figured it’d be easy to find free ones online. Boy, was I wrong.
Started just typing stuff like “2017 Virgo horoscope” into the search bar. First page? All garbage. Old links broken. Sites gone. Or worse, pages plastered with giant “BUY NOW!” signs blocking the actual text. Felt like hitting a brick wall immediately.
Wasted a whole afternoon trying different tricks:
- Added “free” to the search. Big mistake. Got flooded with fake astrology sites demanding my email before showing ANYTHING.
- Tried digging deep into old forums. Found forum posts talking ABOUT Virgo 2017, but the actual links they mentioned? Dead. Totally dead.
- Got hopeful seeing archived versions of popular astrology sites. Clicked excitedly… only to see blurry screenshots of the homepage with a giant banner saying “Subscribe for Full Archive Access!”. Useless.
Felt frustrated. Almost gave up right then. This was supposed to be simple! Why was finding old free predictions like pulling teeth? Got stubborn though. Started thinking sideways.
Remembered some smaller blogs from back then. Independent folks, not the big money sites. Maybe they had stuff just sitting there? Started hunting names I vaguely recalled or found mentioned in old forum threads. Dug through my own dusty browser bookmarks too. Found one! Some quiet astrology blog I saved years ago. Scrolled forever through their archives, page by page. It looked untouched since 2018. The design screamed old internet. And there it was. Buried deep: “Virgo Monthly Outlook – September 2017“. Plain text. No ads. No paywall. Just… there.
Kept looking for more. Found a couple other tiny sites like that. Took me HOURS of clicking through ancient archives. Most were gone or had only snippets. But those few survivors? Felt like finding treasure in a landfill. Saved them locally immediately – not risking losing them again!
What a mess honestly:
- 99% of old free stuff online? Seems just… vanished.
- Big sites keep their old stuff locked away tight, begging for money.
- Finding ANYTHING genuinely free and intact from back then was pure luck.
Done hunting. Learned my lesson. Next time I want old horoscopes? Might just… not. Seriously wasn’t worth the headache. Funny how finding something supposedly free online can be harder than solving a puzzle. The internet remembers less than I thought.
