How I Handled It
Took the bus to work extra early just in case. Stashed $20 cash in my desk drawer when nobody was lookin’ – emergency pizza money, you know? Then I basically treated my boss like he was radioactive all morning. Dodged three hallway meetings by pretendin’ my phone was ringin’. Felt kinda stupid crouching behind the copy machine though.
