So today I decided to try getting my Virgo daily tarot reading done. Honestly I’ve seen these all over but never actually tried doing one myself step by step. Figured why not since Mercury’s retrograde anyway and things feel messy.
Grabbing My Cards
First I dug out my old Rider-Waite deck from the back of my bookshelf. The box was dusty as hell – hadn’t touched these since last Christmas. Shuffled them real slow while thinking about this work dilemma I’ve got. Focused on asking “What should this Virgo focus on today?” Felt kinda silly talking to cards but whatever.
The Actual Pull
Cut the deck three times with my left hand like I read somewhere. Drew just one card since it’s a daily pull. Boom – The Hermit pops out upside down. My first thought was “Great, reversed card means bad luck right?” But then I remembered readings don’t work like that.
Making Sense of It
Checked the little booklet that came with the deck. For Virgo today it said:
- Reversed Hermit means stop overanalyzing
- Stop seeking perfection today
- Listen to gut feelings over logic
Kinda hit home ’cause I’ve been stuck deciding between two job offers all week. Booklet specifically said for earth signs: “Your mind is your own worst enemy today.” Damn.
My Takeaway
Honestly surprised how much this matched my situation. That Hermit card perfectly called out my analysis paralysis. Normally I’d make spreadsheets comparing offers but today I just… didn’t. Emailed both companies asking for 48 more hours instead of obsessing. Felt freeing.
Gotta say though – that “stop seeking perfection” advice saved my sanity. Cleared my schedule and actually took a damn nap. Wouldn’t have done that normally. We’ll see if sleeping on it actually helps me decide tomorrow.
