Well, back in September 2018, I was a Virgo looking to achieve my career goals. First off, I sat down and really thought about what I wanted. I jotted down all the career goals that popped into my head, like getting a promotion, learning new skills, and making more connections in my industry.
Then, I started breaking these big goals into smaller, do – able tasks. For the promotion goal, I made a list of things I needed to do, such as finishing a big project I was working on. I rolled up my sleeves and got to work on that project. I spent hours in front of my computer, researching, writing reports, and having meetings with my team.
To learn new skills, I signed up for an online course. Every evening after work, I’d sit at my desk, turn on my laptop, and start watching those video lessons. It was tough sometimes, especially when I was really tired after a long day at the office, but I pushed myself to keep going.
Making more connections was another important part. I went to industry events. I remember one event in particular, it was a big conference. I walked around the venue, feeling a bit nervous at first. But then I just forced myself to go up to people, introduce myself, and start chatting. I exchanged business cards with a bunch of folks, and even had some really interesting conversations about the latest trends in our field.
As September went on, I kept checking off those small tasks one by one. I finished my project, and it turned out really well. My boss was super happy with it, and I could tell it was a step in the right direction for that promotion. I also completed the online course and learned a whole bunch of new stuff that I could use at work.
By the end of September 2018, I was able to see some real progress. I didn’t get the promotion right away, but I was definitely on the short – list. I had learned new skills that made me more valuable at work, and I had a bunch of new contacts in my industry. It was a great feeling to know that all my hard work had paid off, and I was well on my way to achieving my career goals.
