Well, I’ve always been fascinated by tarot cards. One day, I just decided, “Hey, I wanna be a tarot card reader!” And that’s how my journey started.
Step 1: Get the Right Deck
I went to a local bookstore. There were so many decks! I was like a kid in a candy store. I picked up different ones, felt their textures, looked at the pictures. Finally, I found one that just spoke to me. It had these cool, vivid illustrations, and I knew right away this was the one. I paid for it and rushed home all excited.
Step 2: Learn the Basics
Once I got home, I sat down with my new deck. I started by learning the names of the cards. There are major arcana and minor arcana. It was a bit confusing at first. I mean, so many cards! But I made flashcards. I wrote the card name on one side and a brief description on the other. I carried these flashcards with me everywhere. On the bus, waiting in line at the grocery store, I’d pull them out and study. I also watched some YouTube videos. There were these cool people on there just explaining the cards in a really easy – to – understand way. It was like having a teacher right in my living room.

Step 3: Practice, Practice, Practice
I started practicing on myself. Every morning, I’d shuffle the cards and draw one for the day. I’d try to interpret what it meant for my day. Sometimes I was way off, but that’s how you learn. Then I asked my friends if I could do readings for them. They were all up for it. At first, I was super nervous. I didn’t want to mess up. But my friends were so nice. They listened to my interpretations and gave me feedback. Some of them even said it was pretty accurate, which gave me a huge confidence boost.
Step 4: Join a Community
I found an online tarot community. There were people from all over the world sharing their experiences, tips, and tricks. I posted about my readings, asked questions when I was stuck. People were really helpful. They’d share their own ways of interpreting cards, and I learned so much from them. It was like having a big family of tarot lovers supporting me.
Step 5: Keep Learning and Evolving
Tarot is a never – ending learning process. I keep reading new books about tarot, exploring different interpretations. I also try new spreads. There are so many different spreads out there, like the Celtic Cross, the Three – Card Spread. Each spread gives a different kind of reading. I experiment with them and see which ones work best for me and my clients.
And now, I can say I’m a tarot card reader! It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was definitely worth it. If you’re thinking about becoming a tarot card reader, just take it one step at a time, and you’ll get there!
