At the beginning of February 2020, I was a Virgo guy looking to boost my career. I was stuck in a rut at work, not seeing much progress, and really wanted to make a change.
First, I decided to analyze my current situation. I sat down with a pen and paper, listing out my strengths and weaknesses at work. I realized I was pretty good at problem – solving but lacked in communication skills. So, I set a goal to improve my communication.
To boost my communication skills, I started reading books on the subject. I picked up a couple of self – help books from the local bookstore. Every evening, I’d spend an hour or so reading and taking notes. I also signed up for an online communication course. There were video lectures and quizzes, and I really tried hard to complete all the tasks.
Next, I focused on networking. I joined some professional groups on social media. I started posting comments on relevant topics and connecting with other people in my field. I even attended a few virtual industry events. At these events, I forced myself to talk to new people, asking them about their work experiences and sharing mine.
I also decided to take on more challenging projects at work. I approached my boss and told him I was ready for more responsibility. He was a bit surprised but gave me a chance. I worked day and night on that project. There were times when I got really stressed out, but I kept going.
As the month went on, I noticed some changes. My communication with colleagues got better. I was able to express my ideas more clearly in meetings. And the project I took on was a success! My boss was really happy with my work and even gave me a small bonus.
By the end of February 2020, I felt like I’d really boosted my career. I went from being stuck to making real progress. It wasn’t easy, but all the hard work paid off. If you’re a Virgo looking to boost your career, I’d say just take action, step out of your comfort zone, and keep pushing forward!
