Back in November 2017, I was really into helping a Virgo friend boost their career. First off, I started by sitting down with them to figure out their career goals. We talked about what they really wanted to achieve in their job, whether it was getting a promotion, learning new skills, or changing departments.
Then, I recommended they focus on networking. I told them to go to industry events, both online and offline. They started attending webinars and local meet – ups. They even joined some professional groups on social media. They were really shy at first, but I pushed them to introduce themselves to new people and exchange business cards.
Next, I advised them to upskill. I helped them search for relevant courses on platforms that were popular at that time. They signed up for a couple of online courses related to their field. They spent hours every week watching video lectures and doing assignments.
For their daily work, I suggested they be more organized. Virgos are known for being detail – oriented, so I told them to use this strength. They started making to – do lists every morning and prioritizing their tasks. They also set up a system to track their progress on big projects.
When it came to communication, I told them to speak up more in meetings. They were always so quiet, but I knew they had great ideas. So, they started raising their hands and sharing their thoughts. It was a bit nerve – wracking for them at first, but they got better over time.
Finally, I reminded them to take breaks. They were so focused on work that they were burning out. I told them to take short walks during the day and have a proper lunch break. They followed my advice and found they were more productive in the long run.
By the end of November 2017, my friend saw some real improvements in their career. They got positive feedback from their boss, and there were even rumors of a possible promotion. It was amazing to see all the hard work pay off, and I’m really proud of them.
