So, I’ve always been into tarot, and lately, I decided to get a new star tarot deck. But choosing one was no walk in the park, let me tell you!
Step 1: Research
I started by doing some online research. I hit up a bunch of tarot forums and groups. I read what other tarot lovers had to say about different star tarot decks. Some people were super into decks with really detailed star charts, while others liked ones with more artistic and dreamy star imagery. I made a list of the decks that kept coming up in these discussions. There were like 10 different ones on my list at first!
Step 2: Check Out Local Stores
Then I decided to go to some local metaphysical stores. I walked around, picked up each deck that was on my list. I felt the texture of the cards. Some were really smooth, and some had a kind of rough, almost handmade feel. I looked at the colors of the decks too. One deck had these really bright, neon – like stars, which was cool but a bit too flashy for me. Another had more muted, earthy tones for the star background, and that one felt more my style.
Step 3: Consider the Size
I also thought about the size of the cards. I held them in my hands and shuffled them a bit. Some were really big, and it was kind of hard to shuffle them properly. I’m not the most coordinated person when it comes to shuffling anyway, so I knew I needed a deck that was easy to handle. I ended up ruling out a couple of decks just because they were too large.
Step 4: Look at the Artwork Details
I paid close attention to the artwork on the cards. I wanted a deck where the stars and constellations were easy to recognize. One deck had these stars that were so tiny and detailed that it was hard to tell what they were supposed to be. I needed something that was clear and intuitive. I also looked at how the stars were integrated with the other elements on the cards, like the characters or symbols. Some decks did this really well, making it look like the stars were guiding the characters’ actions.
Step 5: Trust My Gut
After all that looking and comparing, it came down to a gut feeling. There was one deck that just felt right in my hands. The colors were perfect, the size was great, and the artwork was exactly what I wanted. I knew that was the one I was going to choose. I took it to the cashier, paid for it, and walked out of the store feeling like I’d found a real treasure.
So, that’s my process of choosing a star tarot deck. It takes a bit of time and effort, but finding the right one is totally worth it!
