Hey guys! I’ve been into tarot reading for quite a while, and one of the most challenging parts is determining time frames accurately. So, I decided to figure this out through some hands – on practice. Here’s how it went.
First off, I gathered all my tarot decks. I’ve got a few different ones, each with its own style and feel. I laid them out on my table, ready to start the exploration. Then, I picked up my favorite deck, a Rider – Waite type, because it’s the one I’m most familiar with.
I shuffled the cards really well, making sure they were all mixed up. I was thinking about different time – related questions as I shuffled, like when will I get that job offer, or when will I meet my new friend. After shuffling, I drew a single card for each question. This was my starting point.

Next, I referred to some tarot books that I’ve collected over the years. These books have some basic guidelines on how to associate cards with time frames. For example, the Ace of Wands might be related to a new beginning, often thought of as a short – term event, like a few days or weeks. I took notes of these associations and compared them with the cards I drew.
But I knew that just relying on books wasn’t enough. So, I started looking at patterns in my past readings. I went through my old notebooks where I’d written down previous tarot readings and the actual events that followed. I tried to find correlations between the cards and when the events happened. This was a bit like detective work, going through pages and pages of my scribbles.
Another thing I did was consult with other tarot readers. I joined some online tarot communities and asked them about their methods of determining time frames. Some of them shared really interesting tips. One reader said they look at the position of the card in the spread. If it’s at the beginning, it might be a sooner event, and if it’s at the end, it could be later.
After all these steps, I started making predictions based on what I’d learned. I wrote down my predictions for different events and waited to see what happened. It was like waiting for a movie to unfold. And over time, I compared my predictions with the real – life outcomes.
Here are the 5 tips I came up with based on my practice:
- Understand card meanings: Know what each card represents in terms of time – related concepts. For example, court cards might represent people and also have a time aspect, like the Page could be a young person and a short – term event.
- Look at the spread position: The position of the card in the spread can give clues about when the event might occur.
- Check past readings: Review your old readings to find patterns between cards and actual time of events.
- Consult others: Talk to other tarot readers and learn from their experiences.
- Combine with intuition: Use your gut feeling along with the card meanings and patterns to make more accurate predictions.
Through this whole process, I’ve become much better at determining tarot time frames. It’s been a fun and sometimes frustrating journey, but definitely worth it. Now, I can make more informed predictions and have a better understanding of how tarot can give us insights into the timing of events.
