Okay, so this morning I rolled outta bed thinking, “Man, could really use some extra luck today.” Remembered that GaneshaSpeaks Virgo Daily thing my cousin kept bugging me about. Figured why not – my coffee hadn’t even kicked in yet, so what’s the harm?
Step 1: Pulled Up That Virgo Page
First thing, I grabbed my phone still half-asleep. Went straight to GaneshaSpeaks – took two tries ’cause I spelled it “GaneshaSpeakes” like an idiot. Found the Virgo section real quick. Daily horoscope was right there in big letters. Scrolled past like three ads for palm readings (those things pop up everywhere, swear).
Step 2: Actually Read the Dang Thing
Honestly? Almost backed out here. That prediction was longer than my grocery list! But I powered through. Main luck tip screamed at me: “Wear something blue before noon.” Checked my closet – found this old navy t-shirt wadded in the corner. Good enough. Also said to “be assertive with finances,” whatever that means. Made a mental note to finally ask my boss about that overdue bonus.
Step 3: Forced Myself to Do the Weird Ritual
Almost skipped this part ’cause it felt silly. But it specifically said: “Light any candle while saying your wish aloud.” Found a half-melted birthday candle in my junk drawer. Lit it right there at the kitchen counter, mumbled “Help me not screw up my presentation later” quick before the wax dripped everywhere. Blew it out fast so my smoke alarm wouldn’t go berserk again like last time.
So… Did Luck Show Up?
Wore the blue shirt. Boss meeting happened. Didn’t get the bonus (shocker), BUT he randomly approved my vacation dates after rejecting ’em twice. Later found a $20 bill stuck to a gum wrapper in the parking lot. Coincidence? Maybe. But hey, that candle was worth the 30 seconds. Would I do this every day? Nah. But next time my car needs repairs or I gotta deal with the DMV? Might just fish out that ugly blue shirt again.
