Well, I’ve always been into tarot cards, and I was super curious about how to use the major or minor part of a tarot deck effectively. So, I decided to give it a shot and see what happens.
First off, I got my hands on a nice tarot deck. I just went to a local store and picked one that looked cool to me. Then, I started by simply shuffling the whole deck. I was like, “Let’s mix these things up and see what comes out.”
Next, I separated the major and minor arcana. It was kind of like sorting out two different groups of friends. The major arcana cards, they seem so intense and important. I stared at them for a while, trying to get a feel for each one. I was thinking, “What stories are you guys trying to tell me?”
For the major arcana, I decided to do a single – card draw every morning. I’d shuffle the major arcana, close my eyes, and pick one. Then I’d look at it and think about what it might mean for my day. Like one day I got The Fool. I was like, “Okay, today I should be more adventurous and not worry too much about the consequences.” And you know what? That day I ended up trying a new coffee shop I’d always passed by but never gone into. It was actually really good!
As for the minor arcana, I did a three – card spread. I shuffled them up, and then I laid out three cards in a row. I thought of the first card as the past, the second as the present, and the third as the future. One time, the first card was a cup, and I thought it meant some old emotions were coming up. The second card was a sword, and it felt like there was some conflict in the present. The third card was a pentacle, which I took as a sign that things would get more stable in the future. And it kind of worked out that way!
I also kept a little notebook to write down my thoughts and what happened each time I did a reading. It was like a diary for my tarot experiences. After a few weeks, I started to notice patterns. Some cards seemed to show up more often when I was in a certain mood or when certain things were going on in my life.
Over time, I got better at understanding what the cards were trying to tell me. I wasn’t always right, but it was fun to try and figure it out. And using the major and minor parts of the tarot deck effectively became a regular part of my routine. It’s like having a little buddy that gives me some food for thought every day.
