Okay so yesterday night I thought, “Virgo season’s almost over but people still need guidance, right?” Grabbed my laptop around midnight – typical me, always working late. Opened up that astrology software I’ve been using for years, the one that looks like it’s from Windows 95.
Gathering the Data Mess
First thing? Pulled up the planetary transits for the next 30 days. Mercury Retrograde ending thank god – Virgos hate that mess. Saw Saturn doing its slow dance through Pisces, right opposite Virgo placements. “Oof, boundaries!” I mumbled to myself, remembering how I let my cousin crash for “a few days” last year that turned into two months. Never again. Jotted down notes like:
- Set FIRM work hours (Saturn vibes)
- Actually say “NO” when you want to
- Budget check EVERY Friday (no excuses)
Real Life Proof Stuff
Couldn’t just throw planets at people. Needed real tips they’d actually do. Remembered last month when I tried “time blocking” to stop answering work emails at 2 AM. Failed miserably the first week. Ended up setting a dumbly simple rule: When laptop closes, Slack notifications OFF. Used my phone’s “Do Not Disturb” mode like a shield. Took practice (and ignoring my boss’s midnight messages), but saved my sleep. Added that tip specifically for Virgos overworking.

The Ritual Part
Knew some followers dig a little ritual. Tested one myself Tuesday morning. Simple stuff:
- Cleared my chaotic desk (threw out 3 dead pens!)
- Wrote ONE big goal for the month on fresh paper
- Placed a small green plant next to it (Virgo earth sign thing)
Felt oddly focused after. Might sound silly, but hey, my inbox stayed under 50 unread emails for three whole days – personal record.
Almost Died Typing This
Here’s the messy part. Was editing the post draft yesterday when my cat Ziti jumped on the keyboard. Somehow opened 15 Chrome tabs of abandoned shopping carts and crashed the SQL server software. Thought I lost everything. Panic sweat real. Scrounged through autosaves for 45 minutes like digging through junk drawer. Found a temp file dated last Tuesday. Lesson learned the hard way? Backup your dang files BEFORE Mercury goes direct. And keep pets off the desk.
Finally hit publish at like 3 AM. Still tired now, but feeling solid. Hope the Virgos out there get something useful from it. Maybe they won’t end up replying to slack messages in bed like I used to. Or maybe they’ll just appreciate someone gets their need for order in pure chaos. Either way, that’s why I’m posting this stuff everyday.
