Well, I started off by getting really hyped about this Virgo weekly scarlet moon thing. First, I did some basic research on the internet. I just typed in ‘Virgo weekly scarlet moon’ on the search engine and started skimming through the pages. There were a bunch of articles, some saying it was a rare event and others giving out all sorts of info about how it might look and what time it’d show up.
Next, I thought about where I’d watch it. I live in a place with a bit of light pollution, so I decided to drive out to the suburbs. I hopped in my car and drove for about an hour until I found a nice open field. There were hardly any lights around, which was perfect.
Once I got there, I set up my little camping chair and took out my binoculars. I also brought a thermos of hot coffee because it was gonna get cold at night. I sat there, waiting patiently for the moon to start turning that scarlet color.
The time was getting closer, and I could see the moon starting to change. It was a really slow process, but it was so cool to watch. It went from a normal white color to a sort of orangey – red, and then finally to a deep scarlet. I was just staring at it, like ‘Wow, this is actually happening!’.
I took a bunch of pictures with my phone, even though I know they won’t really capture how amazing it looked in person. I mean, the moon just hung there in the sky, looking all red and mysterious. It was like something out of a movie.
After a while, the moon started to go back to its normal color. I packed up my stuff, got back in the car, and drove home. It was a long day, but it was totally worth it. I can’t wait to tell my friends about this experience. And who knows, maybe there’ll be another cool moon event like this soon!
