My Weird Idea for Tomorrow
Alright, so I’m sitting there scrolling, you know how it is. Totally stuck on what to do about this project at work tomorrow. Feeling kinda blah. Then boom, the idea hits me – why not actually read tomorrow’s Virgo horoscope today, and see if its “lucky career moves” advice works? Like a test. Sounded silly, but I figured, what the heck, worst case it’s funny.
First thing I did was grab my laptop and type “Daily Virgo Horoscope tomorrow” into the search bar. Clicked the first legit-looking result, didn’t wanna fall for some scam site mess. Took me a minute to find the section about career stuff. Skimmed past the love life fluff and the “guard your energy” warnings.
The “lucky career moves” bit said, strong point: “Seize unexpected opportunities! Be bold with your ideas.” They also mentioned networking unexpectedly helping. Okay, not exactly rocket science advice, but specific enough to try.
Here’s what I tried doing based just on that:
- Stopped overthinking this proposal I had floating in my head.
- Actually typed up a rough email draft to my boss pitching it, instead of waiting.
- Hesitated hard – felt pushy – but remembered “be bold.” Smacked the send button. Oof.
- At lunch, ran into that guy from accounting in the breakroom, Mike. Usually I’d just nod. “Unexpected networking,” right? Made myself ask how his big report was going. We chatted longer than I expected.
Results? Honestly surprised. Boss emailed back within an hour. Didn’t say yes straight up, but asked for a meeting tomorrow to “discuss details.” That almost never happens! Mike from accounting? Later sent me a link to a report template he mentioned. Don’t know if it helps yet, but more than I got ignoring him.
Was it the stars? Dunno. Maybe just forcing myself to act. Or total coincidence. But reading that horoscope today and actually doing the dumb stuff it vaguely suggested? Kinda pushed me out of my rut. Made me do things I normally stall on. Even if it’s all nonsense, it worked this time. Might try this “acting in advance” thing more often, horoscope or not.
