Alright, this week I decided to focus on saving more cash as a Virgo. It all started on Monday. I sat down at my kitchen table, with a cup of coffee in hand, and opened my bank app. I wanted to see where my money was going.
I scrolled through the transactions. Holy cow! I was spending way too much on takeout. Like, three times a week! So, I made a plan. I went to the grocery store, bought a bunch of stuff to make simple meals at home. I’m not a great cook, but I can follow a recipe.
On Tuesday, I started making my own breakfast. Instead of hitting the coffee shop on my way to work, I brewed my own coffee at home and made some toast. It was super easy, and I saved a few bucks right away.
Wednesday came around, and I realized I had a bunch of subscriptions I wasn’t using. I had a gym membership that I hadn’t been to in months, and a magazine subscription that I never read. I canceled them right then and there.
Thursday, I was out running errands. I usually take an Uber, but this time I decided to take the bus. It took a little longer, but I saved like $10.
Friday was a bit tough. My friends wanted to go out for drinks. I really wanted to go, but I knew it would cost me a lot. So, I suggested we have a drink at my place instead. We bought a cheap bottle of wine and had a great time.
By Saturday, I checked my bank account again. I couldn’t believe it! I had saved over $200 this week. It wasn’t easy, but it was totally worth it.
