My morning ritual kickoff
So today I woke up feeling kinda stuck about my job search, you know? Been sending applications left and right with no luck. Then I remembered that Virgo horoscope thingy about career opportunities floating around. Figured hey, can’t hurt to try something new right? Grabbed my phone around 7 AM while making coffee, searched that exact phrase “Virgo career horoscope Ganesha guide” everyone’s talking about.
What actually went down:
- First I lit this smelly candle my aunt gave me last Diwali – supposed to help with focus
- Scrolled through like five different astrology sites while burning my toast
- Most said similar stuff: “Mercury is whatever blah blah network strategically”
- Got annoyed and almost quit when one site demanded money for “personalized report”
The weird experiment part
Around noon I decided to actually try their advice literally. Found this free version saying: “Virgos should reach out to three contacts from past workplaces today”. Pulled up my dusty LinkedIn account which I haven’t touched since 2020. Freaking password didn’t work – had to reset it twice! Saw my old manager from the warehouse job posted about hiring. That’s when the crazy idea hit me – why not text him directly?
My hands got all sweaty typing: “Hey Mr. Dawson remember me? The guy who accidentally forklifted into loading dock?” Added that goofy warehouse selfie we took. Sent it shaking my head like “this astrology crap’s making me look stupid”.
What nobody tells you about cosmic advice
Well guess what? Dude actually replied in ten minutes! Turns out they need a shift supervisor and he thought I was dead after not seeing me online for years. We’re meeting tomorrow for coffee. Spent the next hour staring at my phone like it grew tentacles. Can’t decide if it’s:
- Dumb luck timing
- Mercury retrograde magic
- Or just me finally contacting people like I should’ve months ago
Either way, this horoscope nonsense got my foot back in somewhere it shouldn’t belong. If it pans out I’ll be happy – if not I’m gonna tell people that Ganesha guide owes me two bucks for wasted coffee.
