Back in 2017, I was stuck in a dead – end career as a Virgo. I felt like I was just going through the motions every day, not really satisfied with what I was doing. So, I decided to make a career change. But where do I even start?
First off, I sat down and thought about what I really liked to do. I made a list of my hobbies, skills, and things that I was good at. It took me a few days to really dig deep and figure out what I was passionate about. I remembered that I always enjoyed writing and communicating with people, so I thought maybe something related to that would be a good fit.
Then, I started doing some research. I looked at different job listings online, checked out industry websites, and even talked to some people I knew who were in the fields I was interested in. I found out that content marketing was a growing area, and it combined my love for writing and communication.

After that, I knew I needed to learn some new skills. I signed up for some online courses on content marketing. It was tough at first. There were so many new things to learn, like SEO, social media promotion, and how to write engaging content. But I stuck with it. I spent hours every day watching videos, doing assignments, and reading articles.
Once I felt like I had a good grasp of the basics, I started building my portfolio. I wrote some sample articles and created some mock content marketing campaigns. I put them all together on a simple website that I made using a free template. It wasn’t perfect, but it showed what I could do.
Next came the job hunting part. I started applying for content marketing jobs. I sent out my resume and portfolio to dozens of companies. Most of the time, I didn’t even get a response. It was really discouraging. But I didn’t give up. I kept tweaking my resume, making it more relevant to the jobs I was applying for, and following up on my applications.
Finally, after months of hard work, I got an interview. I was so nervous. I prepared for it like crazy, researching the company, practicing common interview questions, and dressing up in my best clothes. The interview went well, and a few weeks later, I got the job offer. I was over the moon!
Making a career change in 2017 as a Virgo was definitely not easy. It took a lot of time, effort, and perseverance. But by following my passion, learning new skills, and not giving up, I was able to make a successful shift. If you’re thinking about a career change, just go for it. It might be tough, but it could be the best thing you ever do.
