My Journey into Virgo Career Stuff for May 2022
Okay so last week, I was scrolling through Twitter around 2am drinking cold coffee like always. Suddenly this astrology meme pops up showing Virgos stressing over spreadsheets. Felt personally attacked LOL. That’s when I remembered my dusty 2022 planner – y’know, the one buried under grocery receipts and old chargers?
Dug through my junk drawer like Indiana Jones hunting for artifacts. Found the planner smelling like forgotten gym socks. Flipped straight to May 2022 and BOOM – saw my handwritten note “CHECK VIRGO CAREER FORECAST” circled three times with angry red ink. Classic overthinking Virgo move.
Here’s exactly what I did next:
- First grabbed three highlighters (yellow=practical, green=growth, pink=wtf moments)
- Opened that May forecast on my cracked phone screen while eating cold pizza
- Nearly choked reading “Mercury retrograde affects workplace communication” because my boss had ghosted my emails that whole week
- Started scribbling notes like “Stop trying to please Karen from accounting” when it mentioned setting boundaries
The real turning point came Wednesday morning – spilled coffee on my white shirt right before the budget meeting. Forecast said “Unexpected chaos unlocks opportunities.” So instead of freaking out, I cracked a joke about my coffee addiction. Whole conference room laughed, even stone-faced CFO. Got approval for my project later that day.
Implemented two things religiously after that:
- Stopped saying yes to every extra task (sorry Karen!)
- Blocked “panic hours” on my calendar for Mercury retrograde days
End of month? Didn’t magically become CEO obviously. But my performance review mentioned “remarkable composure during challenges” – which never happened before. Still use those highlighters for dumb astro stuff. Worth the pizza stains.
