First I scribbled all the key points in my crusty notebook:

- Thursday: Speak up about that project idea I’ve been sitting on
- Friday afternoon: Seriously don’t sign any contracts until after 3PM
- All week: Organize my damn messy desk for “positive energy flow”
Step 2: Actually Trying This Stuff
Monday started rough – inbox exploded overnight as usual. Normally I’d fire off replies fast, but nope, made myself slow down. Even reopened three emails I’d already written to fix typos. Felt kinda stupid doing it but whatever.
Thursday morning I almost chickened out in the team meeting. Then remembered the advice and blurted out my database optimization idea mid-sentence. Dead silence for five seconds… then my manager actually nodded! Said we’d discuss it Friday.
The desk cleaning? Dumped twelve empty coffee cups and six crumpled Post-it piles into recycling. Found my missing USB drive under month-old reports. Still not sure about “energy flow” but at least my mouse isn’t sticky anymore.
What Actually Happened
Here’s the weird part – that Tuesday email check saved me. Caught a pricing error in client proposal that would’ve cost us money. Boss noticed and gave that “good catch” nod he does.
The Thursday idea got approved! Still surreal. We’re starting prototype next quarter.
Friday contract thing? I held off til 4PM like a lunatic watching the clock. Turned out legal department sent revised version at 2:55PM. Signed the right damn paperwork.
My Takeaway
Do I think planets control spreadsheets? Hell no. But forcing myself to slow down on emails, clean my workspace, and stop overthinking when to speak up? That’s just common sense packaged as astrology. Made me less impulsive all week. Jury’s still out on Mercury retrograde though – I just call that Mondays.
