So yesterday morning I grabbed my phone with my coffee still steaming, you know how it is. Opened up that astrology app everyone talks about, scrolled straight to Virgo. Wanted to see what the stars had cooking for my love life today. Predictions said something like “An unexpected encounter could spark joy!” and screamed about “aligning my energies”. Felt kinda generic, honestly. Like, tell me something I don’t know, universe!
My Plan of Attack
Right, the prediction also claimed “action brings results”. Fine. Challenge accepted. Decided I wasn’t just gonna sit around waiting for “sparks”. Here’s exactly what I did:
- Got Real: First, ditched my usual ratty t-shirt. Actually put on that kinda-nice blouse buried in my drawer. Small win.
- Chatty Kathy Mode: Promised myself I’d talk to one new person today. Not hiding behind my phone at the usual coffee spot. Just… initiate.
- App Tweak: Yeah, okay, I fiddled with my dating profile again. Took off the gloomy hiking pic nobody likes. Swapped in one where my smile looks less forced.
- Vibe Shift: Said “yes” when my buddy asked if I wanted to hit that new bookshop downtown later. Normally I’d bail.
How It Actually Went Down
The “unexpected encounter”? Nearly tripped over a dude literally carrying a tower of books walking out of the shop. Books went flying everywhere. Classic clumsy Virgo moment, right? We were both scrambling on the sidewalk grabbing paperbacks, laughing like idiots. Super cute book nerd vibes. Ended up chatting for ages about sci-fi novels.
Okay, stars? Maybe you were onto something.
BUT… Fast Love? Nah. We swapped numbers, sure. Texted later. Realized he thinks pineapple on pizza is a crime against humanity. Dealbreaker! Jury’s still out on whether that “spark” survives the pizza wars.
So yeah, did the horoscope thing work? Maybe pushed me out the door. Did I find “true love fast”? HA! Total disaster potential remains strong. But hey, putting on the nice shirt actually felt good, and book dude was cool even if he has terrible taste in pizza. Gonna call it a practice win. Baby steps.
