Well, I’ve always been interested in astrology, and lately, I decided to dig deep into the personality traits of Virgos. You know, like how people always talk about how detail – oriented and perfectionist they are. But I wanted to see if there were any not – so – great aspects.
I started by chatting with some Virgo friends. I asked them straight up, “Hey, what do you think are the downsides of being a Virgo?” One of my friends, let’s call him Tom, immediately started complaining about how he gets overly critical. He said he can’t help but nit – pick at even the smallest things. For example, when we were planning a party, he spent hours rearranging the snacks on the table because they “weren’t in the right order”.
I also did some online research. I scrolled through countless astrology forums, reading what other people had to say about Virgo personalities. A lot of people mentioned that Virgos can be too self – critical. According to a study by an astrology enthusiast group, about 70% of Virgos admit to being overly hard on themselves. They set such high standards for themselves that they’re never really satisfied with their achievements.

Another thing I found out during my exploration is that Virgos can be a bit of a control freak. My friend Lisa, a Virgo, always wants to be in charge of every project we work on. She has to plan every single step, and if things don’t go according to her plan, she gets really stressed out. Once, when we were doing a group project at school, she was so worried about the details that she ended up doing most of the work herself, leaving the rest of us feeling useless.
As I continued my investigation, I realized that Virgos can also be quite moody. They can switch from being happy and energetic to being gloomy and withdrawn in a matter of minutes. It’s like they’re on an emotional roller – coaster. My Virgo neighbor, for instance, can be all smiles one day and then completely ignore me the next.
After all these experiences and research, I’ve come to understand that while Virgos have many great qualities, their personality can also have some drawbacks. Their perfectionism, self – criticism, need for control, and mood swings can sometimes make it a bit challenging to deal with them. But hey, nobody’s perfect, right? And these so – called “bad aspects” are just part of what makes them unique.
