Well, I was always curious about tarot cards, especially the different types of kings in it. So one day, I decided to dig into it.
First, I bought a tarot card deck. It was a colorful and interesting set. I spread out the cards on my table and started looking for the kings. There were four of them, each representing a different suit.
I picked up the King of Wands first. He looked so energetic, with a wand in his hand and a confident smile on his face. I read the little book that came with the deck. It said the King of Wands is like a leader, full of passion and drive. He’s the kind of guy who can start a new project and make it a success.

Next was the King of Cups. He seemed so calm and gentle. Holding a cup, he looked like he was lost in thought. According to the book, this king represents emotions and relationships. He’s the type to be very empathetic and caring towards others.
Then I grabbed the King of Swords. He had a serious look, with a sword in his hand. The description said he’s all about logic and intellect. He makes decisions based on facts and reason, not on feelings.
Finally, I turned to the King of Pentacles. He was sitting on a throne, surrounded by coins. This king stands for material wealth and stability. He’s good at managing money and building a solid foundation.
After studying each king closely, I compared them with each other. It was really interesting to see how different they were, yet all held power in their own ways. I jotted down some notes about my observations, like how the King of Wands and the King of Cups were almost opposites in terms of their natures.
To really understand them better, I came up with some real – life examples. I thought of a boss at work who was like the King of Wands, always pushing the team forward with his enthusiasm. And a friend who was as caring as the King of Cups.
By the end of my exploration, I felt like I had a pretty good grasp of the different types of kings in tarot. It was a fun and eye – opening experience. Now, whenever I look at those cards, I can easily tell which king is which and what they might symbolize.
