My Morning Routine & Discovery
Woke up at 6:30 AM like always, made my coffee extra strong today. Scrolled through my phone while waiting for the caffeine kick. Suddenly remembered – oh right, Bejan Daruwalla’s monthly Virgo report dropped last night! Quickly searched for it since my boss has been breathing down my neck about quarterly targets.
Reading the Career Predictions
Opened the PDF file – man, this thing’s longer than my grocery list. Skimmed past all the generic love and health stuff, zeroed in on the career section. Three things jumped out at me:
- “Unexpected opportunities mid-month” – sounded like corporate BS but ok
- “Avoid confrontations before 18th” – good luck with my micromanaging team lead
- “Financial gains through networking” – yeah right, my Zoom meetings are torture
Putting It Into Practice
Decided to test the networking advice first. Forced myself to join that awful virtual team-building event at 3PM. Made small talk with Sarah from accounting – usually I’d mute and scroll memes. Mentioned casually how I fixed the budget spreadsheet issue last week. Two hours later? Boom! She emails me about a cross-department project with travel budget.
Then came the confrontation part. When Dave tried dumping extra work on me Wednesday morning, I bit my tongue hard instead of snapping. Just said “Let me check my priorities” and walked away. Dude looked so confused. Total power move.
The Weird Outcome
By Friday afternoon, three things happened:
- Got assigned to Sarah’s project (hello expense account!)
- Dave started being weirdly respectful after my non-reaction
- Randomly bumped into CEO in elevator – mentioned Sarah’s project and got actual human nod
Honestly? Either Daruwalla knows something or I manifested this accidentally. Going forward I’m scheduling difficult conversations after the 18th like my career depends on it – because apparently it might.
