Well, I’ve always been curious about what causes the so – called bad character traits of Virgos. So I decided to dig into this question and here’s my whole practice process.
First, I started by chatting with a bunch of Virgo friends. I asked them about their daily habits, how they think, and how they deal with different situations. One of my Virgo friends, Tom, is super organized. He has a to – do list for everything, even for his weekend relaxation. He told me that he can’t stand a messy room and always arranges things in a very orderly way. At first, I thought this was just a good habit, but then I realized that sometimes this strict orderliness could be seen as a bit of a “bad trait” by others. People might think he’s too fussy.
Then, I read a lot of online forums. There were so many posts about Virgos. Some people said that Virgos are overly critical. I found a thread where a non – Virgo person complained that their Virgo colleague was always nit – picking on their work. The Virgo colleague would point out the tiniest mistakes, even those that didn’t really affect the overall result. I thought this was quite interesting because being detail – oriented is usually considered a good thing, but when it comes to being overly critical, it can cause problems in relationships.
I also talked to a psychologist friend of mine. He said that according to some studies, Virgos’ personality traits are related to their high – level of self – awareness. They set very high standards for themselves and others. About 70% of the cases he’s dealt with involving Virgos showed that their self – imposed high standards led to them being seen as perfectionists. This perfectionism can sometimes come across as being difficult to please or too harsh.
Finally, I observed a group of Virgos in a social gathering. I noticed that they were very quiet at first, carefully observing everyone around them. They seemed to be analyzing every move and word. When they did speak, they were very precise in their language. But this made some of the more outgoing people in the group feel a bit uncomfortable, thinking that the Virgos were being stand – offish.
After all these practices and observations, I think the so – called “bad character traits” of Virgos are actually a double – edged sword. Their orderliness, attention to detail, and self – awareness are great qualities, but when taken to an extreme, they can be misinterpreted. It’s all about finding a balance, and we should try to understand them better instead of just labeling them with these so – called “bad traits”.
