Well, I’ve always been into tarot cards. One day, I thought, “Why not print my own tarot cards?” So, I rolled up my sleeves and got started.
First, I did some research on what materials I needed. I found out that paper quality is super important. I went to a local stationery store and checked out different types of paper. I ended up choosing a thick, cardstock – type paper. It’s about 300 grams per square meter, according to the store clerk. This kind of paper is sturdy and won’t bend easily, which is perfect for tarot cards.
Next, I needed ink. I didn’t want the colors to fade easily, so I asked the salesperson for high – quality ink. He recommended a brand that’s known for its long – lasting color. I bought a set of ink cartridges for my printer.

Then came the design part. I used a simple graphic design software on my computer. I searched online for some free tarot card templates. There are tons of them out there! I picked a few designs that I really liked and started customizing them. I added my own little touches, like changing the colors a bit and adding some small symbols.
After the design was done, it was time to print. I loaded the cardstock paper into my printer and hit the print button. The first few prints didn’t come out perfect. The colors were a bit off, and the alignment was wrong. But I adjusted the settings on my printer, like the color saturation and the print alignment, and tried again.
Finally, after a few tries, I got some really nice prints. But I wasn’t done yet. I wanted to protect the cards, so I decided to laminate them. I bought a laminating machine and some laminating sheets from the store. I carefully fed each printed card into the laminating machine, and it came out with a shiny, protective layer.
Once all the cards were laminated, I cut them out with a pair of sharp scissors. It took a while, but I made sure to cut them as neatly as possible. And there you have it! I had my own set of tarot cards.
Overall, it was a fun and rewarding experience. I learned a lot about printing and design in the process. If you’re thinking about printing your own tarot cards, don’t be afraid to give it a try. Just be patient and keep adjusting until you get the results you want.
