Getting Started with My Future Tarot Session
Yesterday I dug out my Rider-Waite deck because my brain kept spinning about whether I’ll ever finish renovating my damn kitchen. Seriously, that half-painted wall mocks me every morning. Grabbed my notebook and a black candle – not for spooky reasons, just dig the vibe.
Shuffled those cards like poker chips for a solid five minutes. Kept repeating “When’s my kitchen reno actually gonna happen?” in my head while knocking on the wood table three times. Old habit from grandma. Drew three cards face down using my left hand since that’s supposedly my intuition side.
What Those Cards Actually Showed Me
- First card flipped: Eight of Pentacles – dude hammering away. Almost laughed. Cards really went literal with the renovation theme.
- Next one: The damn Chariot upside-down. Wheels spinning but going nowhere. Felt that deep in my contractor-related trauma.
- Last draw: Ace of Pentacles. Big shiny coin popping up! Kinda looked like that backsplash tile I’ve been eyeing.
My notebook entry literally says: “Carpenter card + stuck wagon + money seed. Either this means hire better contractors or accept my kitchen’s cursed.” Drew smiley faces around that last bit.
Reality Check Time
After staring at that Ace for ten minutes, I realized it wasn’t magic – just common sense shouting through cardboard. That card became my “stop overthinking” alarm. Called three contractors today instead of doom-scrolling Pinterest like usual. One actually picked up! We’re meeting Tuesday.
Will it happen? Dunno. But pulling cards forced my butt into gear better than any to-do list ever did. Try it when you’re stuck – just don’t blame the deck when life still acts unpredictable.
