My Hunt for the Twin Peaks Tarot Cards Begins
Got obsessed last week after rewatching Twin Peaks – suddenly really wanted that creepy tarot deck merch. Didn’t wanna overpay though, so started digging around.
First checked the usual big bookstore sites. Prices felt steep, like thirty bucks plus crazy shipping fees. Saw one listing marked “rare collector’s edition” for eighty! Nah, not falling for that trap.
Where Things Got Annoying
Swung by auction sites next – total gamble. Saw one auction ending in ten minutes. Got all excited, placed my max bid… then got instantly outbid by bots. Felt like getting coffee thrown in my face at the RR Diner.

Tried niche geek shops too:
- Place #1: Said “in stock” but checkout failed three times
- Place #2: Only sold it with fifty dollars of other random cards bundle
- Place #3: Wanted forty just for shipping overseas
Almost caved buying from some sketchy Instagram ad claiming “70% off”. Glad I didn’t – reverse image search showed their pic stolen from Reddit.
Finally Hit Paydirt
Stumbled upon this local hobbyist forum while avoiding work. Somebody mentioned a small online game shop clearing old stock. Jumped there immediately – decks sitting at twenty flat with free shipping! Checkout smooth like cherry pie.
Saw the confirmation email? Did a little victory dance like Cooper finding damn good coffee. Whole hunt took four days, five hours actual searching time. Worth every minute saving twenty-five bucks. Moral? Never trust the first price tag – dig where the log ladies hang out.
