Okay, so the other day, I felt stuck with my tarot deck. Pulling the same ol’ three-card spread every dang time. Needed fresh ideas without spending cash. Figured free stuff must be out there somewhere. Grabbed my laptop and just started digging around.
Where I Started
First, I went straight to Instagram since I’m always scrolling there anyway. Just typed “tarot spreads” in the search bar. So many posts! But it was a hot mess – cool pics, but hard to sort or save for later. Found one simple past/present/future spread though. Took a screenshot and actually used it. Worked okay but felt clunky.
How I Found The Good Stuff
Searched Google like “free simple tarot spreads no sign up”. Scrolled past the paid junk. Stumbled on forums where real people post their own spreads. Copied a single-card mood booster spread into my notes app. Tried it when I felt cranky last Tuesday. Shockingly helpful!

Then I remembered this PDF someone mentioned in a YouTube comment ages ago. Took some digging through my browser history to find it. Had like 10 beginner spreads inside. Printed it out and coffee-stained it immediately. Made me feel like a wizard with cheat codes. Easy to shuffle through different layouts now.
What Actually Worked
- Random blogs: People just sharing their go-to spreads. Found a “5-minute clarity” spread this way
- Dusty forums: Old school vibes, but gold mines if you scroll enough
- Messy Instagram: Screenshot anything that looks simple enough
- Buried PDFs: Feels like finding treasure maps
- App freebies: Signed up for nothing but checked apps anyway – some had demo spreads usable without paying
Took all week but ended up with five new spreads that don’t need a PhD to understand. Been using that single-card mood spread every morning now. Changed how I approach my deck – way more playful. Still hate the Instagram chaos though. Why they gotta make everything a dang puzzle?
